Disastrous Situations in the Region of Varna and Possible Hygiene-epidemiological Problems //// Бедствени ситуации във Варненския регион и възможни хигиенно- епидемиологични проблеми

Abstract

The aim of this study is to survey disastrous situations, possible hygiene-epidemiological problems and the response preparedness of the health care system for medical backing and safeguard of the population in the Varna region. The forecasts for emergencies of natural, geographical and anthropological character have a significant part in this study, along with the survey of disasters which have already manifested themselves; analysis of the epidemic situation in the Varna region for the period 1990-2003 has been made. Special attention is paid to survey the response readiness of health care system and the general information and knowledge of the population for protection in case of emergency situations in the Varna region. The study analyses the readiness of the special units affiliated to the regional Hygiene Epidemiologic Inspectorate – Varna, to combat disasters: anti-epidemic squad, chemical, radiological and microbiological laboratory, intelligence and express analysis department. The results of this survey are meant to serve for enhancing the skills and knowledge of the population for adequate response. Three types of measures are to be conducted: training; proper conduct in case of disaster; control and prevention of epidemics or their spread thereafter.

Целта на разработката е проучване на бедствените ситуации, възможните хигиенно-епидемиологични проблеми и готовността на системата на здравеопазването за медицинско осигуряване на населението във Варненския регион. Съществено място в работата са прогнозите за бедствени ситуации от природо-географски и антропогенен характер, проучване на възникнали такива и анализ на епидемичната обстановка във Варненския регион за периода 1990-2003 г. Специално внимание се отделя на проучване готовността на здравеопазването за медицинско осигуряване и информираността и знанията на населението за защита при бедствени ситуации във Варненския регион. Прави се анализ на готовността на изградените формирования към ХЕИ (РИОКОЗ) - Варна, за работа при бедствия: противоепидемичен отряд, химична, радиологична и микробиологична лаборатория и отделение за разузнаване и експресен анализ. Резултатите ще послужат за повишаване на знанията и уменията на населението за адекватно поведение чрез провеждане на три вида мерки: обучение, правилно поведение след бедствие, контрол и недопускане възникване и разпространение на епидемии.
